COVENANT ALZHEIMER’S CARE BEGINS NEW SUPPORT GROUP FORT WALTON BEACH, FL, December 21, 2016 – Covenant Alzheimer’s Care will begin hosting a new support group for those caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s or a dementia-related illness. The support group begins on Thursday, January 5 and will meet at 5:30 p.m. at Brookdale Fort Walton Beach. The group will continue to meet the first Thursday of every month.
Covenant Alzheimer’s Care educational support groups are provided free of charge and are designed to help caregivers adapt to their roles in ways that are both hopeful and effective. The groups focus on positive strategies for handling specific challenges and provide information about community resources that may be beneficial. Each Covenant Alzheimer’s Care group facilitator is trained to help caregivers address dementia specific issues, as well as manage the emotional toll of caregiving. Covenant Care is committed to providing a safe environment for members of the group to discuss their concerns, receive support, information and the resources they need.
