Eglin Federal Credit Union presents the World War II 75th Anniversary Remembrance Banquet

On Friday, April 7, the Chamber will host a banquet for Okaloosa County to honor the 75th Anniversary of the start of World War II.  The event will be held at the Emerald Coast Convention Center on Okaloosa Island - and we'll be honoring local WWII veterans along with several special WWII vets who will be visiting from around the country for this unique evening.

Please purchase your tickets for this event by Wednesday, April 5.  There will be no tickets available at the door.

Already confirmed:

    Col. Richard E. Cole (USAF, Ret.), the last surviving Doolittle Raider

    James Leavelle, Pearl Harbor survivor and Dallas Police detective, who was with Lee Harvey Oswald when he was shot.

     Lewis Varvel, USS Hornet, the ship from which the Doolittle Raiders took off.

     James "Pee Wee" Martin, 101st Airborne Division

     Capt. Jerry Yellin - Army Air Corps - flew final combat mission of World War II (Capt. Yellin has cancelled because of health concerns, as of 4/3/17.)

     Elinor Otto - The last of the original "Rosie the Riveters"

     We invite you to join us - or even better - to sponsor a table at this exciting commemorative event. 

1.     Sponsor a table for a visiting World War II Hero or Celebrity Guest* to attend the banquet (reserved table of 10).  Eight guests of your choosing will be joined by one of the invited out-of-town visitors and their guest at the banquet - $1,500.  (Sold Out)

2.     Sponsor a table for a local World War II Veteran* (reserved table of 10) - Eight guests of your choosing will be joined by a local vet and their guest at the banquet - $1,000.  (Sold Out)

3.     Corporate table sponsor* (reserved table of 10) - Ten guests of your choosing - $750.  (Sold Out)

4.     Sponsor a local WWII Vet* and their guest to attend the banquet.  You and a guest will join a local vet and their guest at a designated table - $250.
