Fort Walton Beach Presents: A Downtown Holiday
On Saturday, December 3rd, 2016, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., the City of Fort Walton Beach and the Downtown Fort Walton Beach Organization present a Downtown Holiday! It’s a one-stop holiday shop and Tree Lighting event, complete with vendors for shopping, food, and Christmas treats, as well as live entertainment, children's activities, and more! It's all at the waterfront Landing park on Brooks Street in downtown Fort Walton Beach.
The list of festivities currently includes:
-Holiday shopping and food vendors
-Live musical entertainment throughout the event
-Live Nativity and children's activities
-Santa's arrival and visit with the kids
-5:30 p.m. tree lighting ceremony
-This event also serves as a drop-off site for Toys for Tots toys and monetary donations. Help fill Santa's sleigh with gifts for children in need this Christmas!
-And while you're out and about, be sure to stop by the old-fashioned Holiday Open House at the Indian Temple Mound museum. This event offers free admission, goodies and games for the kids, and a nostalgic stroll down FWB memory lane! (12-4 p.m. at 139 Miracle Strip Parkway SE)
