Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast will host an evening seminar with Dr. Keith Golden, cardiac electrophysiologist with Sacred Heart Cardiovascular Specialists, on Wednesday, May 18 at 6 p.m.
Dr. Golden will discuss a systematic method used to diagnosing tachycardia (rapid heart rate), atrial fibrillation, and atrial flutter, and also explain heart monitoring options and treatment choices for cardiac rhythm disorders.
Dr. Golden specializes in treating abnormalities in the heart’s electrical system as well as cardiology ailments such as coronary artery disease, heart failure and valvular disease.
Currently, more than 3 million Americans live with atrial fibrillation and this number is expected to rise to five million by the year 2040.
After the seminar, attendees will have the opportunity to discuss areas of concern and ask specific questions.
