The Veterans Tribute Tower Committee is pleased to host this year's Veterans Day Ceremony at Beal Memorial Cemetery, Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 11:00 A.M.
Starting at 8:00 A.M. on Veterans Day and continuing their tradition of service to our community, cadets from FWB High School Air Force Jr ROTC will place over 1600 Flags and render Placement Honors at the final resting places of our Veterans at Beal Memorial Cemetery.
Our guest speaker for the main ceremony will be Brig Gen Evan Dertien, USAF, Commander of the 96th Wing, Eglin AFB. The Invocation will be given by Chaplain (Lt Col) Michael Shannon, AFSOC Deputy Command Chaplain, Hurlburt Field. Friends from the Air Commando Association (ACA) Leadership, including Lt Gen (ret) Mike Wooley and Maj Gen (ret) Clay McCutchen, will perform the traditional Flyover at the conclusion of Taps. The FWB Police Department Honor Guard will be presenting the rifle volley. We again anticipate the attendance of service members and families from the United Kingdom as they join us to celebrate Remembrance Day. They will be recognized and treated to "God Save The Queen" sung by Reid Soria of Autism Sings after he renders our National Anthem.
Please attend and bring flowers to place on the Table Wreath during the ceremony. Single bouquets are preferable and will be donated to Hawthorn House at the conclusion of the ceremony. No lists of departed are needed for this ceremony, but will be welcomed for recognition at the Memorial Day Ceremony in 2018.
We also welcome you to the Tolling the Veterans Tribute Tower Freedom Bell and Carillon Performance on Thursday, November 2 at 10 A.M. for the Beal Memorial Cemetery, Lazarus Field Ceremony.
