DESCRIPTION:Eleanor McCain will be the featured speaker at the ADSO luncheon on Wednesday\, May 28. McCain  is a practicing Internal Medicine Physician in Fort Walton Beach\, Florida.  Although her career has been in science\, she has always sought a creative outlet\, focusing on the art quilt after 1994.  She has been an exhibiter in Quilt National five times and was a juror in 2011.  Her works can be seen in numerous public and private collections including the Mint Museum.  She lectures frequently on the art quilt\, and has been featured in numerous publications including Masters: Art Quilts Volume 2\, 500 Art Quilts\, American Craft\, American Style\, Shuttle Spindle & Dyepot\, Southern Living Magazine\, Diversion Magazine\, Fiber arts Design Book Six & Seven\, American Quilter magazine\, and Art Quilting Studio.\n\nMcCain will demonstrate her artistry at the Art Center Gallery\, 17 First Street\, Fort Walton Beach. The Luncheon\, which is open to the public\, will begin at 11:30.  Cost of the luncheon is $12. Reservations must be made no later than Monday\, May 26\; cost of luncheons for reservations after that date is $15.
